University of Florida Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension, Pinellas County— free classes on a broad range of topics, both digital and hands-on.

City of St. Pete Watering Restrictions — understand the current irrigation guidelines.
UF/IFAS Gardening Solutions & Florida-Friendly Landscaping — the state's evidence-based source on soil, water, plants, and landscape management practices. The information is spread across a vast array of databases and websites, not built for browsing. Fastest way in: Google your plant or question with "ufifas" added — e.g. “best landscape mulch, ufifas" or “what kind of milkweed is invasive, ufifas" — and the right page almost always comes up first. Be sure to choose links containing “.ifas.ufl.”

National Wildlife Federation (NWF) Certified Wildlife Habitat — if you want a literal checklist of what to do to support wildlife, and a yard sign to show for your efforts once you’re certified, NWF has you covered.
