Field Design Refresh

A design refresh for editing established landscapes.

Building on a strong foundation

If your yard already has established plants and structure—but feels like it’s missing cohesion or intention—the Field Design Refresh offers an expert, in-the-field edit to improve beauty, ecological function, and flow.

Rather than starting over, this service focuses on reviving and refining existing planting areas. With an experienced eye, Wilder evaluates what’s already there to determine what stays, what goes, and what’s missing—strengthening the landscape you’ve invested in, instead of replacing it.

How it works

During a Yard Wellness Check, we identify planting areas a Field Design Refresh could improve. From there:

  • We meet to decide what stays, what goes, and what’s missing

  • We add labeled flags in your yard to show what goes where

  • You or your gardener can add the new plants all at once—or over time

This process respects what you already have, and builds on it.

The Field Design Refresh includes:

  • 60–75 minute design session in your yard

  • Flagged locations for new plants and suggested removals, and a corresponding plant list

  • Clear next steps you (or your gardener) can implement

The Field Design Refresh does not include:

  • A full-yard redesign or CAD plans

  • Hardscape, irrigation, or drainage design

  • Installation labor

Investment

Field Design Refreshes are offered as a flat-fee service, so you know what to expect up front.

Plant costs and installation are not included. A detailed plant procurement & delivery quote is provided separately.
