If your yard has open or underused areas—such as a fence line, lawn edge, or side yard—Adaptive Planting Designs offer a designer-led way to add new plantings to improve beauty, cohesion, and ecological function, without the time or cost of fully custom design.
This service uses pre-designed, designer-curated native plant combinations that we adapt to your yard, rather than designing from scratch.
How it works
During a Yard Wellness Check, we identify planting areas where an Adaptive Planting Design makes sense. From there:
You choose from a small menu of appropriate plant combinations
We adapt the selected combination to your yard
You receive a clear planting plan you can install all at once—or build over time
Because the framework already exists, this process is faster and more efficient than custom design—while still feeling thoughtful, tailored, and cohesive.
Adaptive Planting Designs include:

Adaptive Planting Designs do not include:
Custom landscape design from scratch
Editing or removal of established planting beds
